It’s Time To Specify a Climate Positive Future

There’s no avoiding the headlines. Temperatures, fires, and floods are breaking new records this summer, all signs that it’s truly time to step up our efforts to meaningfully address climate change.

Our mission is to increase the use of materials that are proven to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment, to protect our sustainable resources, and to nurture the small businesses and communities that make up a large part of the wood products industry.

All wood-based products and value-add finishes and components have a role in this mission. That’s why we’re so pleased to welcome the Decorative Hardwoods Association to ClimatePositiveNOW.org. Their support is also vital for the addition of a new Material Guide category—hardwood plywood—coming to Material Intelligence later this summer.

Please join us in thanking all our ClimatePositiveNOW.org partners who are helping to promote the use of beautiful, durable, healthy, and sustainable materials in the built environment:

Developed by Material Intelligence, ClimatePositiveNOW.org is a sustainable materials education project inspired by a combination of Kenn Busch’s research into the properties of wood-based architectural materials, and his two decades of experience delivering educational content to interior designers and architects.
